Can you Teach in Arizona Without a Teaching certificate?

No, in order to teach in Arizona, you must have a teaching certificate. You are able to obtain a teaching certificate with an alternative online certification program like Teachers of Tomorrow!

What Certifications are Needed to Teach in Arizona?

In order to teach in Arizona, you must have a Standard Teaching Certificate, as well as, pass the three required Arizona Educator Proficiency Assessments (AEPA) exams. The AEPA exams are the Subject Knowledge Exam, the Assessment of Professional Knowledge for Elementary or Secondary, and the Constitutions of the United States and Arizona Exam.  The subject matter that is covered on the tests is that of subject knowledge and professional knowledge.
