There are two types of exams for aspiring Indiana educators that are taken at different stages throughout the certification and licensure process.
The CORE certification exams are subject-specific and measure knowledge of your licensure area(s).
This assessment is focused on the application of pedagogy and is taken during your Internship Year.
You must take the specific CORE content area test in the subject area in which you are seeking certification. Our Program Advisors will play an important role in helping you select the subject area(s) that complement your skills and interests. The tests generally consist of 100 multiple-choice questions completed within 105 minutes. The passing score is 220, and the cost is $114.
