Indiana Teachers is the leading educator preparation program (EPP) in the state. Our program is state-accredited and nationally recognized. Unlike other EPPs in the state, we are among the most affordable and have the unique ability to help teachers earn their licensure across the entire state.
Indiana Teachers is fully state-accredited and trusted by teachers and successful teachers alike. After completing our program, you are eligible to teach anywhere in the state of Indiana.
While most candidates complete the online training in 1-3 months, the length of the program is up to you! Our online training is 100% self-paced!* With our program, you can find the balance that works with your schedule!
*Please be advised that while you have the flexibility to complete your training at your own pace, there is a maximum completion duration specified in your enrollment agreement. For further details, please refer to your enrollment agreement.
Once you become eligible to teach, the Indiana Department of Education will issue you a Transition to Teaching (T2T) Permit, which is valid for up to three years. After completing your Internship Year (first year teaching in the classroom), you must teach for an additional year (120 teaching days per year) on your T2T Permit. Upon successful completion of program requirements, you are issued a Residency License for your Residency Year. Once you complete all of your program requirements and successfully complete two years of full-time teaching on a T2T Permit, you may apply for your Practitioner License.
Yes! During your Internship Year, you receive full pay and benefits from your school district while employed as the teacher of record.
Many states reciprocate Indiana teaching licensure, although requirements vary from state to state. To determine the reciprocation policies and procedures, please contact the state’s department of education.
No, you do not need classroom experience. Our program is designed for all types of candidates, including those who have not yet taught in a classroom. You will complete classroom observations as part of the program before you actually begin teaching. We do also recommend completing some classroom experience (volunteer or tutor) to increase your marketability when applying for teaching positions.
We offer a variety of different licensure areas so you can pursue an area that best aligns with your skills and abilities! To explore the list, click here.

Enroll for as low as $95 to get started! The enrollment fee grants you access to everything you need to prepare for the classroom, including training and testing resources.
If you reach the conclusion that teaching is not for you, we understand. We want you to do what is best for you, which is why if you decide to stop moving forward in the program, you are not responsible for paying the remaining balance.
The total cost of the program is $4,795. To get started, you will pay a one-time enrollment fee of $95, which grants you access to the online teacher training program. While you are preparing to be hired, there is a monthly access fee of $95 that allows you continual access to your coursework and training. Once you are hired, you will be responsible for paying the program fee. The $95 monthly payments you made prior to being hired will be deducted from the total program fee of $4,700.
