{"id":1108,"date":"2016-07-21T16:51:40","date_gmt":"2016-07-21T16:51:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.teachersoftomorrow.org\/?p=1108"},"modified":"2016-07-21T16:51:40","modified_gmt":"2016-07-21T16:51:40","slug":"floridateachers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.teachersoftomorrow.org\/blog\/insights\/floridateachers\/","title":{"rendered":"Orange County Florida Teacher Shortage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have been spending a lot of time in Florida due to the teacher shortages there and as I write this I am sitting at the Orlando airport. \u00a0It appears that Orange County is still <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wftv.com\/news\/local\/orange-county-faces-teacher-shortage-weeks-before-school-starts\/407984269\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">short 300 teachers<\/a> for the school year!<\/p>\n<p>Orange County is growing at 5,000 new students a year while Florida programs are not producing enough teachers.<\/p>\n<p>Looks like there is significant need for our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.floridateachers.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida Teachers of Tomorrow<\/a> program.
