The Florida teaching shortage continues to get worse. Same issues as other states but with a heavier increase in student population, the schools cannot keep up. \u00a0The recent Learning Policy Institute<\/a> study highlighted Florida’s struggles with the fact 28% of all teachers in the state<\/a> have less than 3 years experience.<\/p>\n

It is one of the reasons we launched Florida Teachers<\/a>! To help school districts fill the gap – as noted in the article:<\/p>\n

“Florida’s student population, which will top 2.8 million this year, has grown while the number of graduates from teacher preparation programs has dropped by more than 2,500<\/strong> since 2009. But educators trained through a variety of alternative programs have filled the gap.”<\/em><\/p>\n
