People are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stradaeducation.org\/press-release\/confidence-in-the-value-of-education-has-fallen-among-adults-without-degrees-seriously-considering-additional-education\/?utm_source=Whiteboard+Notes&amp;utm_campaign=822c5cb06d-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_05_11_02_24_COPY_01&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_57c3a31aed-822c5cb06d-414069461\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">questioning the value of education<\/a> &#8211; that the cost for additional degrees is just too much.\u00a0 But during these uncertain times they do see value in non-degree programs.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s what we do &#8211; we created Teachers of Tomorrow to give people a route into the teaching profession without the high cost of getting a teaching degree.<\/p>\n<p>From the press release on the survey of aspiring adult learners &#8211; there have been some serious shifts in thoughts &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>The majority (59 percent) of aspiring adult learners believe additional education will be worth the cost and 64 percent believe it will get them a good job, but that\u2019s down substantially from 77 percent and 89 percent, respectively, in 2019.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>42 percent of aspiring adult learners say that the pandemic has made them more likely to enroll in an education program, while only 21 percent say it has made them less likely. <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>68 percent of aspiring adult learners saying they would pursue that pathway, compared to 50 percent in 2019. <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>And the majority of aspiring learners could use more information about education and career pathways, with less than 1 in 3 saying they have a very good understanding of the skills they should be focused on developing, the time and costs to complete a program, and the paths that best fit their strengths.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is not unusual in times of economic uncertainty.\u00a0 People look at their current career and where it is going or not going and decide they need a change.
