Right now is the perfect time to start our program and complete the requirements to start your dream job this fall. If you’re ready to become a teacher in Nevada, just follow the steps below.
If you haven’t already, submit your application. A Program Advisor will call you to conduct a phone interview and assist you in choosing the area(s) that best match your skills and interests.
Send your official transcripts to Nevada Teachers either by mail or by eSCRIP-SAFE (if offered by your institution) as soon as you submit your application.
Start your training right away. Once your enrollment fee is paid, you can log into your Intern Portal and begin the Preparing for the Profession module to get started.
Once you have completed our Phase 1 training program, passed applicable tests and obtained a license from the Nevada DOE you are eligible to be hired and we help you make the connections to land your first teaching job. Use our job search resources to help you prepare using our sample questions and we hold monthly on-site training sessions to make sure you “Ace” that interview.
Start your first year teaching with full support. Once you are hired, you will begin teaching with full pay, full benefits, and full support. You receive guidance from your Nevada Teachers Field Supervisor, an experienced educator who will visit your classroom 3 times throughout the year and is always on-call to answer your questions.
